PRIVATE PATIENTS
Private consultations allow for a personalized, low-stress experience.
Many patients choose this option for their data security and privacy.
As a Cerbo Clinic Private Patient, you have full control over your information.
Your health data will only be shared with the doctors and hospitals you designate.
Private consultations are particularly useful for a second opinion.
A second opinion will thoroughly assess your condition and options.
Specifically, Dr. Singel will answer any and all of your questions such as
- Is surgery really necessary?
- What non-surgical options should be tried first?
- What type of operation has the best chance of success?
- Which technology or skill is the least invasive option?
- Which surgeon is most experienced and skilled in this?
- Should you seek care at a Center of Excellence (UCSF, Stanford Medicine)?
Private Patients enjoy direct access and priority scheduling, usually within days.

NOTICE ABOUT ESTABLISHING A DOCTOR – PATIENT RELATIONSHIP
- Please note that sending an appointment request does not establish care with Cerbo Clinic.
- Discuss your condition with your primary care doctor first, prior to contacting us. Make sure that your treating doctor agrees that you need to see a neurological surgeon. You may be directed to see a neurologist or other specialist instead of a neurological surgeon.
- Check if your insurance requires a specialist referral, and/or prior authorization. Cerbo Clinic does not currently provide pre-authorization services for HMO insurance plans. Such requests are usually handled by the referring PCP office, kindly check in with your doctor’s office.
